Bounce Rate & Splash Pages
Google defines bounce rate as: Bounce rate is the percentage of single-page visits or visits in which the person left your site from the entrance (landing) page. So this means people don’t have time to click through to my actual website because they are busy looking at so many other photographers, or my search terms are completely irrelevant to my audience. I am betting that it is because most people don’t want to be bothered with one more click to access a website. So I am going to remove all the splash pages from my websites.

That’s exactly why we don’t offer splash pages for our websites. If a client wants one they can make one and we’ll upload it but it’s something we advise against.
