Shooting into the Sun
One of my favorite things to do is shoot into the sun. This is pretty tricky and you should know about shutter speed and aperture before you attempt this. You also have to have a fill flash or else the subject will become a silhouette and you will lose all detail in the face. I usually meter for the sky and underexpose the image by 1 or 2 stops. I then compensate with my flash, which adds a nice fill. These images still usually need a little tweaking in Photoshop or Lightroom to get them just right. But give it a try, you’ll like it.
