According to a recent article – “8,000 journalists (hoping to catch that million dollar shot) are expected to swarm London this month to cover the royal wedding, an event as potentially lucrative as the biggest Hollywood film shoot. Ever since their engagement months ago, William and Middleton have been at the center of a tabloid feeding frenzy. But the paparazzi problem does not sit well with Middleton and her family, as the young princess-to-be has warned photographers to leave her family alone. In 2009, Middleton herself won a settlement worth thousands of pounds in an out of court settlement over pictures of her on Christmas holiday. Middleton’s family has asked photographers to give the family space as the wedding date approaches, according to CBS News. The move comes amid reports that photogs on mopeds have been harassing Middleton’s mother and sister.”

Ian Jones has been chosen to take up the prime position outside Westminster Abbey to photograph the happy couple as they emerge after their marriage ceremony on Friday, April 29. In 1998, he was named Royal Photographer of the Decade and photographed Prince William and Kate Middleton when they announced their engagement. He has now been selected as one of the official royal wedding photographers.
